I'll stamp all over 'serious combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be shown live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the pair met personally to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.

Former two-time world boxing king Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the novice is still one of the sport's largest money-making draws, consistently making huge earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

Size Difference

As both boxers participated in the customary stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
